TRAIL REPORT February 11, 2022
ON THE MEND!
Great News, the Pisten Bully is back up and running and working the trails. Light new snowfall with the trail system in an overall good condition. We have a Winter Storm coming through tonight which will really help. Its going to take a few days to get back to the great trails we had before the break downs but improvement is on the way. The programs spare machine has been moved back to our Christmas staging area to now just work the west side of our trail system. Stay alert as trouble areas still have a few pockets that will develop throughout the day. The Big Deere is under repair and will hopefully be back to us next week. Get out and ride safe, stay right and enjoy the great riding conditions! Keep doing the Cold Weather Snow Dancing and Stay Tuned for updates!

Trail holding up well with cold temperatures. Need more snow! Grooming will continue daily as long as conditions allow. Possible warmup next week. We will adjust as needed to allow for the best results. Ride right and ride safe!

This will slowly diminish lake effect snow showers from west to east. It will also help usher in a warm and mostly dry period. Right now, light freezing rain potential is mostly confined to central Upper Michigan Monday afternoon and evening. We'll also see temperatures climb above normal. MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> Last night was a fun night with a little training, some drifting, and a murder burger from the Throttle in Little Lake! Lots of drifting on the east end last night and this morning. Good results grooming the entire length of the trail. Groomer will be out on the trail soon to clean up the drifts and make another run! General maintenance today went well with some of our operators getting involved and one of our new operators took the pole saw for a workout along Finn Spur, where the height of the snow and the tractor was putting us up in the canopy of the trees. It’s the little things that help out in the biggest ways. You don’t even have to be an operator to contribute! Ride right and ride safe! #munising #snowphotos
