MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> 02/05
Getting prepped for the weekend! Grooming, maintenance, and training are on the schedule. Snow is grooming out well, but temps are not letting it hold up. Colder temps this weekend will help, but warmer temps next week will make it challenging to keep the trail smooth late into the day. Roadside banks are getting tall which makes the trail narrow when paralleling the road. Keep that in mind when meeting the groomer in tight areas. Ride right and ride safe!

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Winter Storm Watches have been issued across the entire U.P. for Wednesday night into Thursday. There is the potential for significant snow, sleet and freezing rain (ice) accumulations. The combination of ice on trees/powerlines and wind could result in power outages. At this time the best chance for accumulating snow is over the northern and western U.P. By tomorrow, the wintry precipitation will become more confined to the north, while showers and thunderstorms sneak into the southern counties. A few of these storms could even become strong at times with large hail. After warm and dry days Sunday and Monday, incoming rainfall is expected by late Monday afternoon. High temperatures will top off in the 40s and 50s by Sunday and Monday. MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> Short run today to make sure our east end is smooth and conditions couldn’t be better. Possibly making one more full run before the end of season to make sure we are right on track to finish the season out. Reports have been coming in that the trail is pretty smooth. Grooming will end, but the entire trail will be open through the 31st. Private land closes across the state on the 1st of April, so feel free to keep riding, but please respect private property as land use permits do not allow clubs to keep the trail open. Ride right and ride safe! #munising #snowphotos
