Munising Area Trail Report – 02/22

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA – 02/22

TRAIL REPORT – Monday. 02-22-2021 ENJOYABLE TRAIL RIDING!
An inch or so of new snow with Operators reporting good grooming results but the tired snow will not set. Overall Good to Very Good trails are staying fairly flat through the day with some icy corners developing. Ride with caution. Trail 8 from Shingleton to Trail 7 South is the highest used section of trail with snow sugary along that stretch. Forecasting has a few days in the upper 30’s so lets hope the little amount of snow this year holds on. We really need more new snow to improve conditions so get the snow dances going again. Please respect residential property owners and STAY ON THE TRAIL, No Snowmobile Signs mean just that. Please DO NOT run the Powerlines off of Trail 419.

Our Team of volunteer Groomer Operators will continue to do their best to keep trails flat so; get out and ENJOY the Trails Ride Safe and Stay Tuned for updates!

Munising Area Trail Report – 02/21

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA – 02/21

TRAIL REPORT – Sunday, 02-21-2021 TRAILS HANGING ON BUT SOFT! No new snow and Operators reporting good grooming results. Trails are staying fairly flat through the day but the snow is starting to get worn out and soft. Because of that we are stepping back to “Very Good” overall conditions. Parts of Trails 419 and Trail 8 North of Shingleton are starting to get some icy corners. Ride with caution. Soft sugary snow is not the best for snow conditions but at least the trails are staying fairly flat with all the traffic. We really need more new snow to improve conditions so get the snow dances going again. Grooming note Trail 7/8 from Trail 7 North to Trail 7 South was not groomed last night and will be getting covered today and may be choppy this morning.
