MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 03/29
As it sits, the 2 day grooming extension granted by the DNR to all eligible clubs, does not help our club as our permits and our agreements end on the 31st. I cannot guarantee that landowners will keep the gates open, but I can guarantee that if people do not respect the stay on trail signs, any possibility of the property owners keeping the gates open after the season will never happen again. Ride smart, ride right, and ride safe!

GROOMING UPDATE – DNR ALLOWS EXTENDING GROOMING – thru this weekend.
We are getting some snow today. (inch or two) More hitting this evening. Weather guessers are saying anywhere from 1 to 10 inches. Ha Time will tell…. We will be grooming when and where it makes sense. Low traffic this time of year. The trails really hold up. You just have to be prepared to ride some asphalt and a little dirt here and there. Mainly going in to town or gas stations. If this predicted storm pans out it should make for some great late season trail riding. Trails are being reported as flat and good late season conditions. Watch for hidden treasures as the melt down has exposed some obstacles.
417 – good shape staying flat. Grooming
418 West towards AuTrain and 417 Junction – Low to no snow – gravel in areas. Not being groomed. Water Holes.
419 between Wetmore and Munising -Low snow no longer being groomed
8 North of Shingleton -Low snow in areas. Use caution in swamp areas. Grooming
8 7/8 8 – Still a good base and has been grooming out nice. Grooming
7 North – Little thin closer to xmas. Grooming
7 South – Still holding up. Further south closer to 440 you might hear some gravel. Grooming
422 Miners – H58 road section is bare pavement.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Back to back events are expected this week. Expect strong winds this afternoon and tonight, then strong winds, falling temperatures, and snowfall on Thursday and Thursday night.
