Munising Area Trail Report – 02/12

Grooming Report 11:45 Friday, February 12, 2016

We received about a foot of great packing snow earlier this week and our second Lake Effect Snow Warning has begun.

Groomers have been running long hours with operators reporting excellent trail conditions after grooming for all trails with a few exceptions.

Trail 419 from Trail 8 to about 3 miles north on Munsing is Good with some tight turn moguls. Trail 7 from Christmas for about 3 miles is fair to good then good to trail 8.

With this second storm front, trails should continue to improve and hopefully hold their groom longer.

Munising Trail Report. We have approximately 18 inches of snow for base on the ground; more in some spots and little less in others. We have accumulated roughly 3-6 inches since last night. We are predicted to continue to have low temps for the next few days. Grooming is underway and all trails are being groomed. Trails are in good to excellent condition. Have a great day and happy trails……

Munising Area Trail Report – 02/11

Grooming Report 2:30 Thursday

We received about a foot of great packing snow.

Trail 419 from Trail 8 to about 3 miles north on Munsing is Good with some tight turn moguls. The remainder of 419 to Christmas and Hillside is excellent. Trail 7 from Christmas for about 3 miles is fair to good then good to trail 8.

Trail 8 and 7/8 and 7 south are great to excellent. Our Deere Operator had fun recently grooming Trail 422 to Miners Castle, said Trail 422 is in great shape and he called Mars.
We are still getting bands of snow so trails should continue to improve.

Another big storm front forecast to come in Friday through Saturday.
