Munising Area Trail Report – 02/28

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA – 2/28

TRAIL REPORT – Friday, 02-28-2020
FINALLY SOME GREAT WINTER CONDITIONS!
Overall trail conditions are very good to excellent with great riding conditions and Lake Effect Snowfall. In general we received 6 to 12 inches of snow so far with more in some areas. Grooming results are coming out excellent. We do have high winds creating white-out conditions along the Lake Superior Shoreline with M-28 currently CLOSED from Munising to Chocolay Twp. Ride with caution and remember our grooming machines run 24 hours so stay alert. Keep the cold weather snow dancing going, Enjoy the Trails and Ride Safe!

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 2/26

The trail is in really nice shape right now. A little icy in spots so if you have ice scratchers then I recomend you have them down. Other that that it’s beautiful out here right now. Pray for more snow. Should see some lake effect this week yet. Let’s hope it comes. Right on the right and stay safe out there…

Munising Area Trail Report – 02/27

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA – 2/27

TRAIL REPORT – Thursday, 02-27-2020
FRESH SNOW & FULLY OPERATIONAL
Overall trail conditions are very good to good with great riding conditions. In general snow is a little sugary with a great flat base and a few thin and icy corners in some of the high traffic areas. In town roads are primarily bare. Snow is falling with 1 to 3 inches across our trails last night. Much more in the forecast so trails are expected to start holding their ribbon longer. The best news is the Team was able to get the Bully back up and running yesterday, fortunately we had the needed parts at the groomer building. Thanks Quest and Chuck for working on it out in the snow. Remember our grooming machines run 24 hours so stay alert. Keep the cold weather snow dancing going, Enjoy the Trails and Ride Safe!
