MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Alger County SORVA – 01/26
TRAIL REPORT, Tuesday, 1/26/2021 TRAIL CONDITIONS GOOD! No new snow yesterday but still overall Good groomed trail conditions for the limited amount of snow we have received this season. Some corners are getting icy. Trail 422 has vehicles still driving on Miners Castle Road. Trail 419 between Munising and Wetmore is rough with a challenging creek crossing – report of someone getting stuck in it. We have no snow to work with so ride with caution. Honestly more than a foot of snow is needed to do anything in that section of trail and get the culvert installed. We did move the clubs John Deere 7130 to its basecamp in Munising last night to help out on Trail 419 this season. Please respect residential property owners and STAY ON THE TRAIL, No Snowmobile Signs mean just that. Continue the snow dances and Stay Tuned for updates!

MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 01/22
Trail update 1-22-21 Well, just got done grooming for the night. Have to say that much of the trail is getting to be in decent shape. The fresh snow tonight helps out a lot, and more coming today. There are some areas that are still bumpy because we just don’t have enough snow to fully fill them in yet. Also there are 2 wet areas that we are not yet bringing the groomer into. I was able to push a bunch of snow into one of them but we still need more tn finnish it. Over all I would give the trail a fair to good rating. More on the fair side, because it will take time and snow to get it to great. If you venture out on your sled this weekend, keep a watch out for dips and ice chunks as they can come out of no ware fast. Be safe, and ride right.

WEATHER UPDATE via Michigan Storm Chasers >> Wednesday, March 25th, 2026, is here. To be honest, it's almost copy and paste of Tuesday with snow passing by up north again, but today features warmer temperatures for almost the entire state. To be honest, it's almost copy and paste of Tuesday with snow passing by up north again, but today features warmer temperatures for almost the entire state. As you can see, high temperatures in the 50s and 60s will be on display for everyone minus the eastern UP and northern LP. Partly cloudy skies south, while mostly cloudy skies and some isolated snow showers pass by to the north. Snowfall accumulations will be light and brief. Cold spot of the day will be Sault Ste. Marie at 34°F, while the warm spot of the day will be near New Buffalo in Berrien County at 69°F. A 35° swing from north to south. Winds will be gusting between 15-25 mph primarily across the Lower Peninsula today, with a few gusts to 35 mph possible along Lake Michigan. Small craft, take note.
Our eyes will be on tomorrow as a larger temperature gradient is possible, plus the chance at late afternoon severe weather for southern Michigan. Details to come in future updates, follow along! We are running minimal runs in order to keep the trail smooth and save the snow for the rest of the season. Trail is ice and is grooming out as such.
