WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> A fast-moving system this evening through tonight brings 4 to 8 inches of snowfall to the area. Most snow will fall within a 6 hour period with moderate to heavy snow rates (0.5 to 1+ inch per hour) and quickly reduced visibilities down to 1/4 mile or less for a 2 to 4 hour period. Snow will end overnight into early Monday morning. The Monday morning commute could be impacted, especially in the east, mainly for roads that have not been treated/cleared yet.

8:58 I was seriously contemplating my career choices on the way in after two nights ago, and after 9.9 miles in I can report were back to life is good out here!, not bad at all! AND just lost signal from a rock station not particularly fond of, checked back to 93.9 Lions are gone, back to oldies π

9:41 It is a blast watching the bad disappear when you get this thing dialed in, starting to snow pretty good, hear rumors of another CycloneBomb in and out quick tonight, never heard of one and I may experience two, nice.

11:10pm In and out of Windy Corners, all the lights are out there, perfect againcπ Pine Stump Holland Lake bound, should/praying π I get both ways to myself, just makes it much more easy to make the trail one unit.

GRAND MARAIS AREA UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc. >> This is from a few days ago and is a picture of what our drivers have been dealing with since the big storm. That is why we sent 2 drivers per groomer for several runs. This should have been our sign to turn around back to grand marais. We went around it and had to deal with the drifted plains part of the trail the rest of the way to Pinestump.
GRAND MARAIS AREA UPDATE via Grand Marais Sno-Trails Assoc. >> All trails have groomed in the last 24 hours. We are still dealing with drifting in the usual areas, especially east towards Pine Stump. Check your Groomer Tracker App for updates. All roadside trails near town have now been set, but it is early with minimal base so ride with caution. #grandmarais #newberry
