CADILLAC AREA UPDATE via Coyote Crossing Resort – 2/22
We’re in the heart of Winter Storm Olive! Have gotten about 6” so far … the wind is blowing so much it’s hard to tell.
Thankful for some more white stuff!! ❄️❄️ We’ll give an update tomorrow too!

To better access the forest trails, you’ll want to use one of the Staging Areas below:
33 Rd Staging Area–S of M-55–approx.. 3 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs)
Caberfae Staging Area–approx.. 12 miles west of Cadillac on M-55 (watch for signs)
Boon Staging Area–park in plowed area south of Boon Grocery
Note: The porta-a-johns were removed from our staging areas today as our contracts on them expired 3-15-13.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Snow will diminish this morning, ending by early afternoon. Some parts in northeast lower and far eastern upper Michigan may break out into partial sunshine this afternoon. However, north-northwest to northwest winds today will remain brisk. Gusts to around 30 mph will be common. Accumulations remain consistent to this mornings forecast with 3-6” for most of the area and localized 7”+ possible where heaviest snow falls this evening and tonight. WEATHER UPDATE via Pictured Rocks Marine Weather Conditions >> Here's the updated 24-hour snowfall forecast through 7am Sunday (top figure) compared to the same forecast from two days ago (bottom figure). No big changes for the UP, although a bit more snow is now forecast for the Keweenaw and central UP. Winter is coming back, and trail base has held up surprisingly well! Our early season snows and panning have paid off, as most all trails are showing no dirt. 3-6″ of snow is expected in the next 24 hours, and it’s snowing lightly now. With this fresh snow, riding can resume in our area and hopefully grooming efforts will restart soon... #cadillac
