LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming >> Good Evening everyone. Bergland Area Groomer's report for 1-4-26.
Machine's are running day and night. We've been doing everything possible to keep up with traffic.
Your etiquette coming across a freshly groomed trail count's!

ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via North Country Snowmobile Club UP >> NCSC had one of those days yesterday.
Not sure how our system would be open right now without our very small group of dedicated operators.
Dave from 906 Services Inc. has said "yes" everytime we had an issue and needed assistance. He and his wife Chloe have gone far over and above helping this club.
The team operating out of Hamilton's North Coast Adventures has kept the center of our trail system open and groomed.
Mike at Superior Outdoor Maintenance & Services LLC has assisted whenever asked.
Can't forget our operators out of Ontonagon, Wyatt and Jay who have not only operated at night but rescued and worked on machines during the day.
We are but a few people doing a big job.
THANK YOU! #ontonagon #westernup #snowphotosNCSC had one of those days yesterday.

Paradise Area Trail Report – 02/21

February 21, 2023

23 degrees this morning and cloudy with a stiff NW breeze. It snowed a little on and off last night and this morning but didn`t amount to much. I got about an inch here at my place. The "winter weather advisory" we had for last night for 3-6" didn`t really pan out. I figured it wouldn`t cause we had a SE wind. Now that the wind switched to the NW it should help. I see "they" are calling for a bunch of snow for tomorrow and Thursday……we`ll see.

As far as grooming….here`s the story. The trails are hard as a rock and icey. We can`t do a thing with them. We did hit all the trails last Sunday when the temps warmed up a touch so they are flat and very ridable albeit a little choppy and dirty in spots. If we take the machines out now all we are doing is beating them up on the rock hard trails so we won`t run them for now. The inch of snow we got last night does help a little but we need 6" more. Lets pray we get this snow for Wednesday night and Thursday. If we do, the trails will be golden for this weekend!!!!!

All for now, keep checking back.

LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Groomer Chris

NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via TASA Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association >> 8:12pm five miles down, they didn't call and tell me to Not come back and keys were in it so here we go!
8:58 I was seriously contemplating my career choices on the way in after two nights ago, and after 9.9 miles in I can report were back to life is good out here!, not bad at all! AND just lost signal from a rock station not particularly fond of, checked back to 93.9 Lions are gone, back to oldies 😊
Keep you posted.
9:41 It is a blast watching the bad disappear when you get this thing dialed in, starting to snow pretty good, hear rumors of another CycloneBomb in and out quick tonight, never heard of one and I may experience two, nice.
Headed into Windy Corners.
11:10pm In and out of Windy Corners, all the lights are out there, perfect againc😊 Pine Stump Holland Lake bound, should/praying 🙏 I get both ways to myself, just makes it much more easy to make the trail one unit.
Keep you posted. But we're going to be at incredible again soon! 😁
(Well, you know, another 10-12 hrs.)
Fact there's a very fine line between everything clicking off perfectly, and profanity! 🫢
Starting the inches per hour stuff.❄️❄️
12:30 At Seney intersection, not sure if they've been through but it looks nice that way. Probably 2" fine powdery new down now. #newberry #snowphotos

This should have been our sign to turn around back to grand marais. We went around it and had to deal with the drifted plains part of the trail the rest of the way to Pinestump.
