Should be a decent weekend .
North is the best bet.
Towns will be tricky
Plenty of parking for anyone that needs it. Parking area up the road as well.
Next weekend will be a ton of fun with the vintage show!!!!

NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via TASA – 3/07

We groomed north to trail 431, trail 45 to the falls, and to cut river last night. We plan to groom to holland lake, south to trout lake tonight. As of this moment we have only one groomer operational so we will do our best to keep the trails good. All the trails are wet and getting thin with the warm weather, but are still in fair condition, trail 45 has mud again where the logging has been going on but we are working to try to bring some snow back in from the edges. It is currently 30 degrees and sunny.
Remember when you are on the side of any road always ride on the right side!
In other news we are raffling off a a 2023 Polaris Sportsman 450 Donated by Renze Power Sports.
Tickets: $100.00 each
Drawing held April 22, 2023 @ 7:00pm at the Elks Lodge in Newberry
300 tickets printed
If less than 125 tickets are sold then the raffle will revert to a 50/50 drawing.
Tickets can be purchased from: Renze Power Sports, Halfway Lake Cottages, North Store Follow Me Outfitters, Pine Stump Restaurant, Schubach Farms Cabin Rentals, or

Proceeds will go to fund trail grooming equipment! Good Luck!
Stay on the Trail!! Ride Right and Be Safe!! Please be respectful of private property, howbeit it fields or peoples front yards and remember when on roadways always ride on the right side!
Curfew in the Village of Newberry is 11:00pm to 7:00am.
Trail 9: Groomed to trail 431. Reported as good away from town and fair near town. Logging be operations are finished and county roads 415 and 422 are now being groomed but snow is still a bit thin.
Trail 498: Groomed last night. Good.
Trail 45: Groomed to the falls. Fair condition. There is logging on the trail shortly after you jump on Trail 45 just past the Logging museum off of M-123. There is also be logging about 3 miles North of Skyline Road off to the right. Please use extreme caution in these areas! Both portions are being plowed and could be bumpy or rutted. Very Good in spots
Trial 9/2: Groomed to Cut River. Conditions being reported as fair.

TROUT LAKE AREA UPDATE via The Rail House-Trout Lake MI >> Attempt #2... we made the entire loop around the lake. Use caution as there is a downed tree on the backside of the lake. We did not have a chainsaw and were unable to move it on our own. Visibility is better and there are a lot of sleds out. The snow is DEEP. If I had to guess I would say we got 20"+ of snow. Be safe. Be prepared and do not ride alone.
Buckhorn, Trout Lake is open and so is the gas station

The wind makes it hard to tell exactly how much snow we have gotten in the last 24hrs but its pretty significant. Roads are NOT passable. Please don't try to go out until the county trucks are able to do a pass or 2. If you are familiar with our area, this pic was taken on Huckleberry road on the South side of the lake. #troutlake #newberry #snowphotosWelp... we had to give it a shot but only made it a few miles before we turned around and headed back in. Widespread snow is beginning to taper off from west to east. Very heavy snow will continue across the central and east into the afternoon. Widespread wind gusts 35-45 mph are common this morning, with gusts 50-60 mph closer to Lake Superior contributing to near zero visibilities, and blowing and drifting snow.
In Marquette and Alger counties, M-28 between US-41 and M-94 is closed. Unless absolutely necessary, travel is strongly discouraged this morning. Stay safe! #miweather #munising #newberry
