Happy New Year, actually not to happy for snowmobilers. We do have about 1 inch on the ground right now but its not anything to ride on. The wait continues and my gut feeling is still it will be around the 25th when we get rideable snow. I certainly dont like saying that. Its was deadsville around Frederic on saturday and sunday. Not even many side bys out. So the wait continues. Went to the Frederic Inn for prime rib last night and at 8 oclock we were the last people in there. Then over to the Swamp for a little karaoke but still made it home by 10:30. So thats the opening for the new year. Thanks for checking in. Pete

I saw a few sleds across the street and heard one brapp yesterday. Very quiet out there this morning and its not looking like we will get any snow until about New Years which is not what we want to see. Even Grayling was like a ghost town when I drove thru town this morning. JORDAN VALLEY AREA UPDATE via Jordan Valley Trails Council >> Groomers ran north and south today, unfortunately neither operator had much good to report. The extended warm up from last week has taken a drastic toll on the trails. North of Elmira the trails were really thin today. The trails south of Alba are thin but flat and rideable as of now. The rest of this week is expected to be cold but very little to no snow with high 30’s on Saturday. The end of next week is predicted to have high 30’s with some freezing rain.
