Newberry Trail Report – Halfway Lake Resort – 12/30

Riders have been rating the trails good-very good overall with a few problem locations. Trail 45 from Newberry towards Paradise was reported to be fair-good by multiple groups. As always, please ride with caution, particularly in the swampy area. One person reported a log and a stick poking up in the trail. Hopefully, that has been resolved.

We have talked with groups that have ridden towards Seney, Munising, Naubinway, Grand Marais, Curtis and Paradise. There is more snow as you get closer to Lk Superior. Trail 8 from Pinestump-Paradise is reported to be awesome. We have heard reports of an ice heave on N Manistique Lk in Curtis. High traffic trails such as 9 and are found to be smooth in the afternoon but bumpy in the evening.

Book by December 31 to receive $25 off your stay of any three consecutive nights Jan 6 – Feb 28. Must mention at time of reservation. Deposit must be postmarked by Jan 3rd. Not to be combined with other offers.

Surround yourself in lake effect snow and ride a different direction each day! We are located 12 mi NW of Newberry (Halfway to Lk Superior) and 7 miles south of Pine Stump Junction. Between Grand Marais and Paradise. Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association grooms over 125 miles of trails that interconnect to hundreds of miles of trails groomed by other local associations
