Indian River Trail Report – 01/29

If you don’t mind the cold today will be another perfect day on the trails! The wind chill advisory expires this morning and we might see temps in the mid-teens later. Right now we’re around 9 light snow is falling. We had light snow and winds last night that created drifts and closed schools today. The roads have been ice-covered and slippery for a week now. Salt doesn’t work so the trucks have been dropping sand. The radar shows a system that looks like we’ll see at least a few inches of snow today. We’re excited that tomorrow’s forecast is for temps in the high 20’s. Groomers will be back out tonight. Here’s to another great winter day on the trails of Northern Michigan!

Ontonagon Trail Report – 01/28

The trails are in Great shape so come on up and enjoy.

Also there has developed a wet spot on Trail 12 between Norwich rd and Potato Farm rd about 3 miles in is a Beaver pond that has water seeping thru onto tral. This looks much worse than it really is with only about 4 to 6 inches in depth and a clear gravel base so please slow down and stay on the Trail. Thank you

It is extremely cold out here so please use proper clothing and watch for for frostbite on your limbs.

Base: 36 or more inches

Snowfall Past 24 hours: 5 inches

Last Grooming: 01/26/14

Current Trail Conditions: Good to Excellent
