Maple City on the North end of our trail got 10″ of the white stuff just last night. There is an awesome amount of snow and a super sweet ride waiting for you right here in Northern Michigan. Indian River Trail Report – 01/15

Winter’s back! Yesterday’s snow advisory turned into a full-on Winter Storm Warning by day’s end. The snow just kept coming down-and heavy too. We ended up with 10-11′ of new snow and plenty of blowing/drifting. Schools near and far are closed today and there’s snow everywhere. The banks are back to enormous so proceed with caution at road crossings. The guys groomed both the woods and the railroad last night. There are at least 2-3 inches of fresh snow on top of the groom so conditions are amazing. It’s only about 14 degrees outside so bundle up. The sun is starting to peek out but we’ll be lucky to get to 19 according to the forecast. More snow is expected Thursday and Friday plus temps in the upper 20’s. Get your sled out and enjoy this snow! To join or renew Grooming Club membership, send your email to info@indianriversnowmobiling.org or visit www.indianriversnowmobiling.org. Thanks to your support we’re building our groomer ‘barn’ and will soon have a new facility where we can store and work on the equipment. Construction is underway now at our location on US 27, just a stone’s throw north of the DNR Trailhead at White Road in Indian River!
