Lake Gogebic Trail Report – 01/23

January 23, 2014

With an additional 6-inches or more of new snow over the last 24-hour period and some pretty chilly temperatures the Gogebic Area Grooming trails are in excellent condition. We’ve been experiencing light mid-week traffic so the trails are ready for another busy weekend! The forecast is now calling for mid 20’s on Friday followed by another cold snap with highs in the single digits to below zero that should see us through until late next week. Although cold, this is nowhere near the lows we had during the last bitter cold blast. However, use caution by covering all exposed skin while riding and keep your gas tank topped off before heading away from “in-town” areas. We’ve also got lots more snow to watch for starting Friday the 24th through the next week.

** Mark your calendars for The Lake Gogebic Chamber of Commerce sponsored Radar Run on February 1st, to be held at the Gogebic Lodge. **

That’s all for now from Carolyn at the Hoop. I will keep you posted as often as conditions change. For additional information about the Lake Gogebic area we invite you to visit the only official website of the Lake Gogebic Area Chamber of Commerce at www.LakeGogebicArea.com or call us at 1-888-464-3242 (888-GOGEBIC). From all of us here at Lake Gogebic have a great ride as well as a safe ride.
