Grayling Trail Report – Fay’s Motel – 01/29

Greetings Sledders,

Well, there’s not much to talk about, the trails are very good, we have more than enough snow to work with as far as grooming goes, temps are forecast to come up to at least a tolerable level but nowhere near the thaw mark, more snow is in the forecast as well, life is good, so come on up and enjoy.

I think that about sums it all up and my brain is a tad numb from being outside during a groomer breakdown today, so thinking of something profound to add on is pretty much out of the question.

The next report will likely be next week as there aren’t any major negative weather events in the long range forecast.

Ride Often and Please Be Safe,

Keith, Sandy and The Girls

At Fay’s Motel enjoy direct access to the Grayling Area snowmobile trails.

Western U.P. Trail Report – Western U.P. Bureau – 01/29

Temps today will be in the double digits above zero. The high today will be 14. Our high temps for the next several days will be above zero reaching only in the single digits.

The Gogebic Range Trail Authority – Reports groomers are going out today after not going out for a few days because of the frigid weather. All trails have a firm base with all our cold weather. I will have more to report tomorrow after I get the official word from the groomers. We have gotten word from the DNR trail 11S will be closed due to logging this winter.

The Lake Gogebic groomer’s report: Grooming is ongoing. Trails are all in good to very good condition. No problems on the trails with great riding available. Please stay on trails..riding on unmarked trails jeopardizes our trail easements!!!! Just one more reminder, please use caution in front of Gogebic Lodge where the radar run is set up.

The Watersmeet groomer’s report: Grooming is ongoing. Trails are in good to very good condition. Come out and getting some great riding in.

Please remember groomers are out both day and night, so watch for them, Please pull over or at least slow down and wait for the operator to signal you by whenever you see them.

JUST ONE MORE REMINDER: PLEASE STAY ON MARKED TRAILS. RIDING ON UNMARKED TRAILS CAN RESULT IN THE CLUBS LOSING EASEMENT FOR THAT TRAIL AND IT CAN ALSO RESULT IN A POSSIBLE TICKET FOR YOU.
