Western U.P. Trail Report – Western U.P. Bureau – 02/24

Everything is nice and white after receiving 15+ inches of snow this past weekend. We received a dusting of snow last night which put a topping on the cake. Temps for this coming week are back to teens and single digits during the day and below zero at night. We also have a slight chance of snow for the next several days.

The Gogebic Range Trail Authority – Grooming is ongoing. Trails are back in shape after all the new snow. Great riding so come up and enjoy some great trails. We have gotten word from the DNR trail 11S will be closed due to logging this winter.

The Lake Gogebic groomer’s report: Grooming is ongoing. No problems to report on the Gogebic Area Trail system at this time. Trails are in great shape to get in some excellent riding so come up and ride some beautiful trails.

The Watersmeet groomer’s report: Grooming is ongoing. Trails are in very good condition. Come out and getting some great riding in.

Please remember groomers are out both day and night, so watch for them, Please pull over or at least slow down and wait for the operator to signal you by whenever you see them.

JUST ONE MORE REMINDER: PLEASE STAY ON MARKED TRAILS. RIDING ON UNMARKED TRAILS CAN RESULT IN THE CLUBS LOSING EASEMENT FOR THAT TRAIL AND IT CAN ALSO RESULT IN A POSSIBLE TICKET FOR YOU.
