Surprise! We woke up to find 3″ of fluffy snow on the ground here in Cadillac West and there is reported to be 3″ in the Boon area as well. Today is a beautiful day for a snowmobile ride. TV 9 and 10 is forecasting a rain/mix coming in on Thursday with temps in the 30s to 40s.

It’s great to be back. Thanks for your patience. I can’t believe we are still talking about snow after all this time. Saturday, some areas of the forest picked up a couple inches of snow. Ya, I know, it’s spring. Go figure! Still plenty of good riding in the forest and temps are expected to stay cool for the next few days. Toward the end of the week temps could creep up on us in to the mid-30s/ low-40s. If so that could soften the trails and may do some damage depending on the traffic. Right now they are pretty smooth. For the best ride, plan on trailering to one our our staging areas near the forest like Cadillac West–33 Rd, 27 Rd, Boon, Bristol or Caberfae. Check out the Staging Areas page (see column on left) for directions to those staging areas. It ain’t over til it’s over and we have until March 31 to enjoy our favorite sport as long as Mother Nature continues to cooperate.
