Indian River Trail Report – 12/01

Mother Nature played a cruel joke on us last week, giving all that snow then taking it away. The thaw happened over the weekend but temps dropped from 41 to the low 30’s by yesterday afternoon. It’s gotten even colder since then–today’s temp is only about 15 and there’s a bitter wind outside. Skies are gray but no snow yet. We’ll have to stay tuned to the weather forecast and take it day-by-day. We just don’t have any snow to groom yet. There are snow banks but that’s about all that’s left. All indications are for a snowy season so sit tight and we’ll keep you posted as conditions change!

Sault Ste. Marie Trail Report – 12/01

Trails are open and you can now ride your sleds legally. We will be opening gates this week as we groom if there is enough snow.

We have some good snow in some areas but we have many wet spots that will be a challenge to say the least.

Trail 8 going west is being groomed right now and it is all old RR grade and it even has water holes. By the end of the day from Soo to Raco up north halfway to Paradise will have seen the groomer.

In town will be done this evening and there will be wet spots for sure.

Soo to Kinross is not frozen yet as well as Kinross to Raco.
