PETOSKEY AREA UPDATE via Petoskey Snowmobile Club – 01/14
Trails are looking really good with all this snow we’ve been receiving! 8” of fresh snow and up to a foot or more in other spots!
Groomers have been out working on the trails!
We are also on Groomer Tracker so you can see when we groom but please do not follow the groomer around. Also each subscription we get $5 for the club!

We have a meeting tonight (1/14) at 7pm at the club house!
The guys have been doing some trail maintenance along the way! A big tree was hanging over trail 76, they made quick work to get it cleaned up!

HARBOR SPRINGS UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club >> 2025 Ice Storm Damage. The destruction to our trail system is overwhelming, and it will take an army to clean it up. Whether you ride these trails on a snowmobile, side by side, four-wheeler, drive them in your truck, hunt these woods, walk, or bike them, we will need your help. We have a meeting this Thursday at the Harbor Barn with the Mud Brothers & Beach’s Up North Tavern to get plans together for a trail clean up on 4/26. #harborsprings #petoskey

Temperatures also climb above freezing through the overnight, remaining there until Thursday evening. The bad news is that gusty winds return late tonight into Thursday. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Additional icing across the area appears less likely today with only a glaze of ice possible for some areas. Snow will continue to spread across the area, leading to 1-2" of wet accumulations for many south of the bridge before switching over rain. Strong winds are expected today with gusts to 40+ mph, potentially leading to more down trees and limbs from recent icing. WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> A cold night is on tap as temps fall into the teens and perhaps single digits across much of northern Michigan, especially in areas heavily impacted by the recent ice storm. This could lead to dangerous conditions for those without power or a safe source of heat. Does anyone have any information that would explain why Antrim County was excluded from the the governor’s State of Emergency? Are there any numbers showing ice accumulation for Antrim as compared to surrounding areas?
