I just got back from what will most likely be my last ride of the season down 49 from the Soo to Kinross. Todays warm temps really took a toll. There are now many bare, muddy and grassy corners. The straightaways are getting very thin too and water is starting to show in the Beaver Dam south of 12 mile. Road shoulders along Mac Trail are getting really thin and rocky. There are many good stretches in the farm fields and in the woods but those will deteriorate very quickly with the coming rain. Waiting to hear how our other trails are holding up but it’s safe to say that things are winding down rapidly. We’ll keep you posted as conditions change!

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Mostly light northwest wind lake effect continues through today, although we may see some half inch per hour rates at times over the east from time to time before it tapers off tonight. The city trails are back in shape after Bryan and Logan hit them tonight. Big thanks to groomer Pete for doing the brake job on this machine (the oldest in our fleet) and to Bryan for helping him finish the job tonight before the run.
