KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports….
Brrrrrr — it’s a cold day to be riding Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula! It is currently 6 degrees in Mohawk with a real feel of -15 degrees. Trails are in excellent condition, however there is VERY low visibility with the high winds and blowing snow! PLEASE ride with extreme caution!
We have another winter weather advisory in effect for today into tomorrow with a possibility of anywhere from 4-7 additional inches of LES to fall. ❄️
Trail 134 to High Rock Bay was reopened this morning after Groomer Operators repaired the water hole! Huge thanks to ALL! 👏

When approaching a groomer try to pull off to the side as far as you or ride as far off to the side as safe as you can. Totals of an inch or less are expected for most of the UP, but where lake effect snow occurs, up to 2-5in of snow is possible tonight through Tuesday evening. As winds pick up early Tuesday, patchy blowing snow may contribute to reduced visibility in the NW wind snow belts.
