Groomer Matt was out for a nice sunset and twilight run from Kinross south tonight. That area picked up a couple of inches of fresh powder, enough to really make a difference on the trails there. He went south on 49 to 20 mile rd as well as 494 behind the airport. He rates these as excellent.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Extremely cold temperatures and wind chills continue today into Saturday morning while lake effect snow continues over the NW wind snowbelts. Frostbite can occur in less than 10 minutes on exposed skin in this weather. Good morning! Bryan and his son Logan hit the city trails last night and also 49 down to 7 mile and they turned out great! The little streams behind Kewadin Casino are still flowing (see the video in the comments) even with all of the cold, but our bridges have made a huge difference in there! There is one spot along the Kewadin trail that is soft and we keep filling it in as best we can. Likely a nonissue for the weight of a sled, but worth mentioning.
