Antrim County Trail Report – 12/18
Off in the bush on Trail #4 we go today! Hats off to VP Tracey and his sidekick Jenna! On this snow Sunday afternoon, (we got about 4”, nothing major but a good base coming down) we had to get a major water hazard to analyzed. We found 5+” of flowing water down the trail and a large collection pool downstream.
Tracey is a brave man, he climbed in found the end of the culvert, cleared it and got the water flowing back into the river and not down the trail! Along with curing the water issues they also took care of a few downed trees and Trail #4 is ready for snow!
Thank you to Tracey for all his hard work and dedication! He doesn’t get enough credit for all he does that no one sees behind the scenes! Helping with today’s fun also was Jenna and Tim, your help is greatly appreciated!

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> A system passing to our south will bring another round of light snow to the area through Wednesday morning. FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> Conditions are A plus times ten. Rode to Lovells last night and then home, left home this morning and rode towards Starvation Lake and then down to Frederic, conditions on trails nice and fluffy and smooth. Happy to say that trail 7 south out of Frederic along with trails 47, 679 and 76 all very nice. I rode 26 miles back here to Frederic and came into sledheads to warm up and am heading back out. Its 16 degrees at almost 1 in the afternoon. Pics are from last night and this morning. Heading back out. Closed again and gone riding. Thanks for checking in. Pete #gaylord #snowphotos

Good chances for snow showers will continue this week. After the cold today, temperatures rebound a bit Wednesday, but that will not last.
