SIDNAW - WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via Sno Valley Riders Snowmobile Club >> Groomer Report;
Trail Condition: Good
Last Groomed: January 18th, 2026
We are grooming on a regular basis, conditions allowing.
The trails are very good.
Please ride on the RIGHT side of the trail and STOP at the stop signs!
Stay on the trail, if you don’t we could lose trail permissions on private property.
Groomers have the right of way on the trails, pull over and stop to let them safely pass!
We now have Groomer Tracker installed in our groomers.
We groom every day that the weather conditions and equipment allow. Unforeseen circumstances may prevent us from going out, like a major blizzard and being snowed in at our homes or equipment breakdowns. #westernup

ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via Scott's Superior Inn and Cabins >> ❄️ Ontonagon / Porcupine Mountains Trail Report ❄️
I went for a ride after all the fresh POW piled up on us this weekend, and WOW — these trails are absolutely fantastic right now.
We picked up about a foot of light, fluffy snow over the weekend, and Mother Nature isn’t done yet. Another 6–10 inches is falling today, adding to an already solid base. The cold weather is hanging on, and with steady lake-effect snow expected throughout the week, conditions are shaping up beautifully across the western U.P.
Trails are smooth, well-covered, and riding great — this is the kind of snow we wait all season for. If you’ve been thinking about making a trip, now is the time. The Western U.P. is definitely the place to be right now.
🏁 Riding the Ontonagon & Porkies area? Make it easy on yourself and stay right on the trail at Scott’s Superior Inn & Cabins — warm rooms, sled-friendly parking, and Lake Superior views when you’re done riding. Come ride hard, then relax with us! 🏁 #ontonagon #westernup #snowphotos❄️ Ontonagon / Porcupine Mountains Trail Report ❄️

Traverse City Trail Report – 12/27

TRAVERSE CITY AREA UPDATE via Ranch Rudolf – 12/27

An update for 12/28:

On Wednesday we will be open from 11am to 6pm with food available 12pm to 4pm.

As you may already know, Sid is a guy who loves his big horses! This is the first time in a long time we’ve been able to use the sleigh Christmas week. Usually there isn’t enough solid snow for the horses to be able to pull the runners until later in the season, so this has been a real treat! Whether wheels or runners, Beau and Knox do not disappoint! There are available ride times Jan 2 and 3. Call us at 231-947-9529 to reserve a time.

Groomers were running today. Trails range from good to fair shape. There have been lots of people out enjoying the trails this week, which is wonderful. Trails are wearing thin in spots and we’re just hoping to fare okay during the upcoming warmer temps that are forecasted. Get out tomorrow if you are able, it’ll be better riding than Thursday.
