Mother Nature unleashed her fury and we picked up over 30" of snow over the Christmas weekend. Tonight an additional snow fall of 6-9 inches of snow is expected, before a moderate warmup is anticipated toward the end of the week along with the potential of a little rain. As we kick off the 2022/2023 snowmobile season there is a few things you should know. The details are below for specific trail grooming. Two machines up and running at this time and one being worked on and hope to have it up and running soon.

Trail 9: Groomed the trail yesterday and will do so again today out to Holland Lake.
Trail 45: Groomed out to County Road 500 yesterday, but did not open the gate across the marsh to the Falls yet. Today we will send just the tractor out to the 500 and work the snow in/pack and hopefully be able to open the gate. We have to be able to see just how soft is is underneath before we open the gate, but we currently believe there is plenty of snow to be able a build up a pretty strong base to do so. Fingers crossed! There will be logging on the trail shortly after you jump on Trail 45 just past the Logging museum off of M-123. There will also be logging about 3 miles North of Skyline Road off to the right. Equipment has been staged in both areas for the logging to start. Please use extreme caution in these areas! Both portions will be plowed.
Trial 9/2: Groomed around town last night, down to Rexton and over to H40. Once a machine returns our plan is to groom down to Epouffette later tonight.
Thank you to all the team at the groomers barn who puts in countless hours to keep the system groomed and maintenance on the machines!

PARADISE AREA UPDATE via Paradise Area Night Riders www.paradiseareanightriders.org >> 1/17/26 22 degrees this morning and cloudy. Supposed to get a little snow today but the main thing is its supposed to stay cold for the foreseeable future! It snowed an blowed all day yesterday, its hard to say how much snow we got but I`ll call it 3-4". Been having trouble with my computer the last few days so I`ll say sorry cause I haven`t been keeping up on my reports. Here`s whats been going on with our trails....... Its been really cold the last few days so we`ve been playing catch-up on our trails since that rain and warm up. Yesterday we took 2 machines w/o drags and ran trail #8 south to try and refreeze that trail down. The water holes on the power line and in the Federal Forest section really opened up with that warm up we had and made them impassable. Me and Groomer Dave were successful in gettin `er done! The gates are now open again in the Federal Forest and the big hole on the power line is filled in!! The swamp just south of town is still closed tho, I`ll cover that in a minute. Today we are runnin the Pine Stump trails #8 & #9 and the Point trails #452 & #453. Tomorrow we are heading back into the Falls trail #45 with 2 machines w/o drags and see if we can`t get that finally froze in and opened up. If everything goes well in there we will get into the swamp south of town and see what we got on Monday. We will also run trail #8 south tomorrow with a drag. So, there ya have it, a full run down on our system. If everything goes well we should have our full system opened up by the middle of next week.......FINALLY!!!!!! LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails – 12/26
The good, the bad, and the ugly…. The good is our operator is home safe and the tractor is too. The bad is that we cannot make it out of Chatham yet. That ugly is the trail is temporarily unpassable for the groomer. Stuck twice in 1/4 of a mile. Thank you to Crossroads Truck repair and Mark Whitmarsh for the tugs today! Looking forward, we are going to clean up east of Chatham tomorrow. We will be waiting until at least Wednesday if not Thursday for Chatham going west as the snow needs to settle. We have worse places to get through than we were having issues with today. The best thing some of you adventurous explorers could do is hammer down our trail for the next couple days to help the groomer get through. It isn’t the best report we could muster up, but it is the only report we have. We live to groom another day. We will get through come hell or high snow!
