PARADISE AREA UPDATE via Paradise Area Night Riders www.paradiseareanightriders.org >> 1/17/26 22 degrees this morning and cloudy. Supposed to get a little snow today but the main thing is its supposed to stay cold for the foreseeable future! It snowed an blowed all day yesterday, its hard to say how much snow we got but I`ll call it 3-4". Been having trouble with my computer the last few days so I`ll say sorry cause I haven`t been keeping up on my reports. Here`s whats been going on with our trails....... Its been really cold the last few days so we`ve been playing catch-up on our trails since that rain and warm up. Yesterday we took 2 machines w/o drags and ran trail #8 south to try and refreeze that trail down. The water holes on the power line and in the Federal Forest section really opened up with that warm up we had and made them impassable. Me and Groomer Dave were successful in gettin `er done! The gates are now open again in the Federal Forest and the big hole on the power line is filled in!! The swamp just south of town is still closed tho, I`ll cover that in a minute. Today we are runnin the Pine Stump trails #8 & #9 and the Point trails #452 & #453. Tomorrow we are heading back into the Falls trail #45 with 2 machines w/o drags and see if we can`t get that finally froze in and opened up. If everything goes well in there we will get into the swamp south of town and see what we got on Monday. We will also run trail #8 south tomorrow with a drag. So, there ya have it, a full run down on our system. If everything goes well we should have our full system opened up by the middle of next week.......FINALLY!!!!!! LET `ER SNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Jordan Valley and Alba/Lakes of the North/Starvation Lake groomer drivers got in well after 1 am and the North 10 was groomed last night as well. Thank you Zack, Luke and Todd!
It’s currently 40*, forecast says mid 40’s for next 2 days and tonight’s low is only 40*. We will be taking a couple days off and when conditions and temperatures warrant we will get back out and clean up the trails.
It’s amazing to think 37” of snow and there are already some thin spots! We’ve intentionally groomed our trials a bit narrower than normal hoping after the thaw we can utilize the wings on our Dubie Groomers/Brush Cutter groomers and pull fresh snow back into the trails for a quick recovery.
Stay tuned for updated conditions!
Thank you to Hutson, Inc. for getting our 6215R John Deere back on the trails! With the issues happening during the Christmas holiday, we only lost a couple days of grooming!

JORDAN VALLEY AREA UPDATE via Jordan Valley Trails Council >> Hats off to Mike, Rich and Pete for spending two cold days fixing a minor issue found on the track of the Pisten Bully! These guys have been on the recovery and fix of the blown track and this latest fix this year and we couldn’t do it without them! Hopefully our machine issues are behind us for the year! Our Milwaukee Tool are a key part of program. From our impacts, grease guns and chainsaws in the cab of our units, these tools make our volunteers lives easier! Hopefully next year we’ll have a building in Alba to get out of the weather. Go check out the go fund me or visit the Antrim County Snowmobile Club and help us make this happen! gofund.me/a9c1cde53 Our groomers were out all weekend making up for the down machine. Thank you to our volunteers for adjusting their schedules! Trails have come back around since we’ve received some fresh snow to mix in with the crusty snow left from the meld down. Looks like we may receive another foot by next weekend which will help build back up the trail. This week will be frigid so we will adjust grooming as needed for snowfall and temps. Make sure you check out Groomer Tracker for all our grooming! 🚧Trail 4 near the Pinney Bridge there was a car in the trail today, please use caution as the trail maybe rutted from the vehicle or recovery effort🚧 #jordanvalley#gaylord#petoskey#snowphotos...
