KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Krupps Resort – 12/30
Got my first run in for the year!!!! Had so much fun!! We left Krupp’s Resort headed north, trail 3 to trail 17, ate lunch at Michigan House in calumet and decided to head back to see how riding south from the resort was. Ended up riding trail 13 to Greenland stopping at The Pit Stop and then 3 north back to the resort. The ride back was a bit bumpy but the groomers were out! Otherwise trails were awesome, thank you to all those that work on the trails! The day was so nice out and I was so happy to ride with these friends! I’ve known them for years and was so happy to finally join them for a ride! Hope everyone can get out and enjoy the outdoors!! Have a great day everyone!

We received another 6.5 inches this morning and it's still snowing at 10:00am. Pretty much white out conditions all morning and it's still very poor visibility.
Stay warm it's only 1° right now.
I thought I'd share a few picks from my ride down 109 yesterday while I grooming.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan >> Snow and blowing snow today will result in near blizzard like conditions for many areas. This will create hazardous and dangerous travel, especially this morning. There are still some wet spots and many sticks (early season conditions on this trail) but it’s OPEN y’all! Shoutout to the guys from the South Range Snowmobile Club who assisted yesterday in cutting the down trees and getting it prepped for the team to pack in today! Please note the “spur” to Freda is NOT repaired and NOT open or accessible! #keweenaw #snowphotosHUGE ANNOUNCEMENT! 📣 For the first time since the 2018 Fathers Day flood, our team was able to open and groom the Freda Loop! I can personally say that it seems like quite a bit more deep in the woods seeing some mounds on stumps etc…
It looks like some significant snows will move in again tonight, so keep an eye on the Shackiecam for 24/7 live streaming coverage

The first half of the week was unusually quiet as far as traffic and the trails seriously couldn’t have been better! As we move into the weekend, traffic is definitely picking up but trails have still been in great shape! Huge thank you to all of the clubs and groomer operators!
Ryan Bennet and Nikki McGill set out to enjoy some of the trails this morning from Krupps Resort and they weren’t disappointed! Ryan shared these photos with us and said, “Have had a GREAT day so far! Ran down 3 to 12, over to 174 down to Sidnaw. Back up 109 through the Sturgeon River Gorge, ran up to Church in the Valley Bar. Will be taking 109 back to Twin Lakes. What a great 160+ mile day!”
This weekend and upcoming week’s forecast includes fresh snow and colder temps each day! Just what ever sledder ordered!
