Trail 7 North is in fair shape, but beware of water on the trail by Perry Road. The trails toward Johannesburg are in poor shape with water on the trail.
Please note, due to last April’s ice storm, there are logging operations in some locations. Logging is taking place on the intersection of trails 7 & 4 (Waters) toward Dodge Lake and near Turtle Lake Road (East of Gaylord). The logging trucks may use the trail as a road at times. Proceed with caution in these areas. Trails are still passable and the groomers are doing their best to keep the trails smooth in these areas.

A few things to remember about our groomers and trails:
– Groomers are out there to help you have a better riding experience and always have the right of way.
– Please move off the trail when groomers are approaching and allow them to safely pass.
– If you approach a groomer from behind, kindly wait for the operator to signal you to pass.
– Grooming can take place at any time during the day or night, so stay alert.
– Always ride on the right side of the trail.
– Ride safe and ride sober.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> A wintry mix returns to northern Michigan on Thursday before switching over to rain for most areas Thursday night as temperatures look to warm considerably through the evening – potentially into the 50s and low 60s by midnight. FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> That's a Wrap on the 25-26 Sled Season - Well here we are up to March 31, 2026 and the end of the season with more snow that we have seen in a long , long time. Still alot to melt off here in Frederic, Piles were huge and so very rock hard its still gonna take them a while to melt down. The good thing about all the snow was that it spread the riders out all thru the state which made for a much safer season. Even with that there were still 12 deaths with only 4 in the lower and the rest in the u.p. In looking at the sledview camera north of Gayord the trail is still covered with snow... #gaylord #snowphotos
