Traverse City Trail Report – Blue Sky Snowmobile Rentals – 12/27

Had a bunch of machines out today and each group that came back said they were very happy with the trail conditions. Groomers were out most of the morning making the trails nice for the Holiday riders. Conditions are expected to stay pretty good for the remainder of the week. Forecast calls for warmer temps only for a day so the trails should be fine through the weekend. I am taking a group out tomorrow so I will update tomorrow night. We still have some sleds available this week. Come check out the new 600 liquid cooled MXZ and TNT machines.

Be safe and watch out for the groomer !

Benzie Area Trail Report – Benzie Bureau – 12/27

Benzie Visitor Bureau – 12/27

Hi all! Woohooh! I hope you all had a Merry Christmas! Pretty nice holiday riding eh? Hopefully it stays that way! Nothing much to speak of for snow forecasted for this week unfortunately until the weekend and then they are calling for warm temps and rain! Yikes! So, lets hope that changes before then! I’ll let ya know as the week goes by though but for now it’s still looking pretty good. Groomers have been out so trails are holding up pretty well. North better than south just because there’s more snow. East leg of the center route snow is sparce. South of Kaleva to Wellston showing a few bare spots. The further you get from the big lake, the less snow. Base is about 5" in most places with more in the woods. If ya missed the last snowmobile safety class, there is another one January 8 at the Snowbirds Clubhouse in Kaleva. Free of charge to anyone age 12 and up. Adults welcome and encouraged. Starts at 8am, ending about 2:30pm. Lunch provided by the Snowmobile Club. Clubhouse is at 14121 Industrial Ave. in Kaleva. Please, do me a favor! To keep ALL parts of the trails open for us, STAY ON THE TRAIL! This means YOU! Its not just a given that we get every inch of trail for our fun. We gotta stay on track at all times! By the way, those groomers are out there volunteering their time and energy to us, so if ya see one, get outta their way and give them a thumbs up as they go by! THANKS! Ride smart, sober, & safe! CYA ON THE TRAILS! Carol

Benzie-Manistee Snowmobile Club – 12/27
The North and Middle sections are in fair condition. The south trail has some sparse, snirty, and moguly areas, expecially around the Highbridge area. Trail conditions: The North trail is in full swing. Good base and snow. In the middle loop, the further south you go the less snow there is. On the south loop from 115 south it is ride able with minimal snow. We are hoping for snow dance to work as you all might sing with us LET IT SNOW** Let It Snow** let it snow**.
