Drummond Island Trail Report – Drummond Island Snow Report – 01/03

CHECK IT OUT! The Snow Gauge Report as of 5:30pm on January 2, 2011 showed 6 inches of snow on the ground and sticking! The rain may have taken it’s toll but the Snow Machine is slowing regaining all lost ground!

SNOWMOBILING FANS: The bays are re-building ice lost to the pre-New Year’s rain. The International Ice Bridge to Canada is still scheduled to go in January 14, 2011. Keep watching here for updates!

The Snowmobile Trails are still officially closed. The groomers need more snow for a base. Rocks and boulders dot every trail at this time. Keep thinking snow!

CROSS COUNTRY SKIING FANS: The Rainbow X-Country Ski Trail needs to be re-groomed. All trails are OPEN for skiiers but not groomed as of this posting. (1/3/2011)

SNOWSHOEING FANS: All trails are open for snowshoeing. Be careful; some branches may have been missed after the trees were cut – please move them to the side if found.
