The snowmobile trails from Twin Lakes to Copper Harbor are open, and groomers are out working on them. Trails are reported to be in fair to good condition with some wet areas. Trail usage should be done with care until we have better snow cover. Remember to watch out for the groomers when you’re out on the trails…….they have the right of way!!
There is logging on a short portion of Trail 133 between Gay and Lac La Belle.
The Keweenaw Convention & Visitors Bureau asks that you stay on the trails, STAY OFF THE ICE, respect private property, do not drink and drive, and above all else, please, drive safely. The signs on the snowmobile trails are there for the riders’ safety. Please, DO NOT remove or destroy these signs.

Right now we are in a let’s wait for more snow….Temps are cold but we need more snow to get the trails in good riding condition. Snow is in the forecast everyday…but it is wait to see how much!!!!
GOGEBIC RANGE TRAIL AUTHORITY are out grooming getting the trails back into shape. Trails are poor to fair expect bare spots closer to the towns. Again conditions are going to be early riding…we need more snow.
Lake Gogebic Area groomers went out Friday night before the freeze so they are reporting all trails are in fair shape. Again more snow is needed to get the trails in good shape.
Watersmeet Area is reporting that there groomers are on hold until we get more snow. They are reporting trails are in poor conditon.

NEW FOR 2010/11: Powderhorn Road is now open for snowmobile traffic. Big Powderhorn Lodging guests now can ride from their door and access to over 2000 miles of groomed UP and Wisconsin trails.
