A sloppy mess. Many huge water holes along trail 7 into Gaylord. We had two die hards that went out riding this morning and returned early afternoon. There is still snow in the woods and fields but it is very soft and slushy. We reached 54 degrees this afternoon. Warming temps are in the forecast for next 7 days. Friday a brief cool down but it isn’t going to be enough to make the trails more ridable.

Trail Report: March 7th, 2012 @ 8:44 am
We did receive new snow last Friday night and Saturday. Reports are that trails are currently rated in “Poor’ condition in an around the Gaylord area. This could really change due to the warm temps and chance of rain showers. Grooming was done Tuesday night. After Tuesday night it will depend on the temps and the weather. The groomers did have problems with one of their tractors over the weekend. As always please check back here updated reports.

Heart Lake Resort Trail and Snow Report – Wednesday, March 7th – 3 pm
Trails are Melting Fast
No riding here at all right now. It is 55.4 degrees as I write this report. The trails are all slush with dirt showing in many places and pools of water in low spots. A lot of melting going on today and yesterday as well. I’m not sure if this is the end of it, I’m thinking so, but Mother Nature has surprised us before in March. If you ever need more information, please feel free to give us a call here at Heart Lake Resort. Thank You. John Phone: 989-732-5081
