FREDERIC – GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> 01/15
It’s sunny and a chilly 12 degrees at 11:30 a.m. on thursday. It was nice and cold last night at 5 degrees and its supposed to stay cold with a small amount of snow the next few days. There were some sleds out and about yesterday and I havent seen any today. Still very icy out there and I expect that to stay so be careful. I have cones outside in my drive because its so icy even though I have thrown salt all around out there. FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> That's a Wrap on the 25-26 Sled Season - Well here we are up to March 31, 2026 and the end of the season with more snow that we have seen in a long , long time. Still alot to melt off here in Frederic, Piles were huge and so very rock hard its still gonna take them a while to melt down. The good thing about all the snow was that it spread the riders out all thru the state which made for a much safer season. Even with that there were still 12 deaths with only 4 in the lower and the rest in the u.p. In looking at the sledview camera north of Gayord the trail is still covered with snow... #gaylord #snowphotos
