Not a great pic but that is Trail #1 along Lake Superior, what a difference!
Groomed:
Trail #12 from Ontonagon to White Pine.
Trail #1 from White Pine to Lake of the Clouds.
Trail #11 from Trail #1 to Trail #102.
Trail #102 from Trail #12 to Trail #13.
Trail #13 from Trail #102 to Rockland.
Trail #137 from Rockland to Ontonagon.
All were reported in very good to excellent condition.

Riding across the Ontonagon River bridge on trail 12 is a sight to behold! You soar 80 feet above the river on a dedicated section for motorized vehicles to use, how awesome is that?! It’s one of the tightest groomer sections we have that provides very little margin for error. It’s also a great view of Lake Superior, the Trapp hills to the south, and really lets you know how pro-snowmobile Ontonagon is. It’s a tremendous destination full of amazing eateries like Up north cafe (best pancakes on planet earth), Syl’s Restaurant, GiGi’s Coffee and Sandwiches, Connie’s Coffee and Subs, and of course the famous Roxey’s Bar and Grill! What’s your favorite stop for food in Ontonagon?

-A system arriving this morning will bring snow, sleet and freezing rain through early Friday morning.
-Moderate to potentially major impacts are anticipated from the combination of snow, freezing rain, and sleet. High travel impacts are expected along with possible power outages and tree damage.
-A second system moves through the area Friday night and Saturday bringing another round of mixed precipitation. Similar impacts are possible.

Today marks the final day of the snowmobile trail season in our area.
It’s been another great winter of riding here in the Western U.P., and we want to thank everyone who helps make these trails possible.
A huge thank you to:
❄️ Our volunteer groomer operators
❄️ The landowners who allow trails across their property
❄️ Our club members and supporters
❄️ The businesses that support the snowmobile community
❄️ And the riders who respect the trails
Remember that after March 31 the trails are officially closed for the season, so please stay off the trails once they close to protect them for next winter.
From all of us at Sno Valley Riders, thank you for being part of another great season.

By tomorrow, the wintry precipitation will become more confined to the north, while showers and thunderstorms sneak into the southern counties.
