MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> 02/22
New snow made last nights run an adventure. Lots of drifting in the windy areas. Lots of cutting down banks in the corners.
Working on transitions on road crossings. Followed by a quick nap and a few hours of maintenance to address a few little things and as always, find a couple more…. Nothing bad though. Groomer is back out right now knocking down the drifts again. Snow is processing good, but is not setting up solid. Will take a couple more grooms to get it where it will set up hard. High traffic volume and loose snow means expect some chop by the end of the day and beware of drifts in the open areas. Ride right and ride safe!

-A system arriving this morning will bring snow, sleet and freezing rain through early Friday morning.
-Moderate to potentially major impacts are anticipated from the combination of snow, freezing rain, and sleet. High travel impacts are expected along with possible power outages and tree damage.
-A second system moves through the area Friday night and Saturday bringing another round of mixed precipitation. Similar impacts are possible.

At this time, there has been a significant decrease in snow amounts and a trend toward higher ice accumulations.
