LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming >> 02/15
Bergland Area Groomer’s Report for Friday evening 2/14/25.. First off, congratulations to this man in his F-150 with a bed camper!! Or should we Hat tip North Country Snowmobile Club UP for the packed in trail base allowing him to make it this far? At our turnaround, we must have woke him with the light’s and noise. Now this is approximately 17 miles up South Boundary Rd. And about the same from Bergland. He came running up to the machine and said Google maps told him to go this way. Mind you through the barricades and whatever indicator there is that it’s a designated snowmobile trail. Never a dull moment. Then our operator coming off 102 had a late start and was just about to the end of his run this morning, in early daylight when a snowmobiler came flying around a corner, Bully and drag skidded to a halt. Sledder slid to a halt. This guy literally just started his machine up and went around the Bully like it was nothing! You all need to pay some serious attention to what you are doing on the trails.
