PARADISE AREA UPDATE via Paradise Area Night Riders www.paradiseareanightriders.org >> 03/04

3/4/25
33 degrees this morning and cloudy. It hit 44 here at my place yesterday and the sun was out all day…..pretty tough on the trails. All paved roads into and outa town are bare now and the plowed dirt roads we use are all mud again…..bummer. I`m sure ya`ll are watching the weather for whats gonna happen the next couple days. "They" are saying a bunch of rain here and maybe some wet snow, thats not gonna help much. Don`t like to sound so negative but it is what it is. We didn`t run anything yesterday but will run everything today. Once all the guys are done they will let me know how things look and then I`ll let ya`ll know tomorrow morning. Lets see what happens. The good side is there still is a lot of snow in da woods.

NEWBERRY AREA UPDATE via TASA Tahquamenon Area Snowmobile Association >> I know you're all sleeping, but we're out here doing cool things for all of you. 😊
So ya, took off at 6 all cognetoie thinking I'd just focus and pay attention to the task at hand tonight but see we've been spotted, evidence from several places were out here, could be the lights, it is orange, dunno but it didn't work! 😂
Anyway, 4th season playing with one of these and I can tell you it's been a perfect storm 😁 of continuous snow, temps, and all of you working with us to leave the snow on the corners for us to squish, ( See how wide and Flat they're building up!!) I just turned south at Wolf Inn, if we get this 7" Carl Bonac says "anything close to the Soo" , that's us right? 😉 we could used it but is pretty awesome right now, no complaints here! Actually belive this keeps up, we will make the cover of Better Cabins & Trails this year 😎
Hope you get outta bed and come see what we did for you!

SAULT STE. MARIE AREA UPDATE via Sault Ste. Marie Snowmobile Association >> 03/04

SAULT STE. MARIE AREA UPDATE via Sault Ste. Marie Snowmobile Association >> 03/03

3/3/25
Good evening!
I have some mixed news, as is usually the case this time of the year. I took a ride down 49 from the Soo to Kinross to see our friends at The Well Diggers Ass. Also hit 472 to 494 around the airport in Kinross.

The city trails, trail 49 to 9 mile, and trail 8 were excellent with lots of base and snow coverage. 49 gets thin south of 9, with dirt patches showing in the parts where the sun hit.

Definitely could have used scratchers too. I was running hot. 472 and 494 haven’t been groomed due to a couple of calls ins and warm temps, so they are rough. We’ll do what we can as soon as we can.

Everything is totally rideable, but know that roads are bare again so trails that have sections along the road like 49 south have tricky sections.

There is snow in the forecast for tomorrow and Wednesday, so we’ll see how it shakes out.

Spring riding conditions are here, especially south of the Soo.
I’ll keep you updated!

Gorgeous sunset tonight, so I thought I’d share🌅

SAULT STE. MARIE AREA UPDATE via Sault Ste. Marie Snowmobile Association >> 12/12/2025
Winter storm warning has been issued! We are expecting fresh snow over most of our area. As of today, everything is as flat as if can be. The cold has really helped with the water holes and sleds are passing all areas easily.
Mike and our newest trainee just completed the city trails. We have made the decision to leave the city trails and trail 49 from the Soo to Kinross alone as far as grooming until Sunday. With fresh snow on top of a flat base, we think this is best for riders and will allow you to have snow for cooling vs a super hard packed trail, and will really help freeze up any remaining soft spots.
Our spare Tucker is running triple duty while we await a fix for our newer Tucker that has an electrical issue. This is another reason we have made this decision. Trail 8 from the Soo to Brimley will be prioritized if it is determined that grooming is needed.
Our Raco, Bay Mills, Brimley, and Kinross south areas remain on the normal schedule.
Please see the pinned post regarding trail 480 and part of 572 in the Spile Dam area.
It should be a great weekend! Thanks all!! ❄️❄️❄️ #soo12/12/2025
