FREDERIC – GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> 02/25
Snow in the air all morning and its now 1 on wednesday and I have been trying to get on to do this and keep getting side tracked. We had about a nice 3 new inches of snow overmight and sleds have been out and about. Had a group of 8 or so 4 stroke arcitic cats come in and they were heading up for the bridge. The few new inches help cushion the rock hard concrete feeling frozen snow under neath. Groomers are out and about but I cant tell you exactly where but as usual there have been reports of both good and bad trails. As I have said before I have seen alot worse conditions. FREDERIC - GAYLORD AREA UPDATE via Sledheads of Frederic , Michigan Snowmobiling >> That's a Wrap on the 25-26 Sled Season - Well here we are up to March 31, 2026 and the end of the season with more snow that we have seen in a long , long time. Still alot to melt off here in Frederic, Piles were huge and so very rock hard its still gonna take them a while to melt down. The good thing about all the snow was that it spread the riders out all thru the state which made for a much safer season. Even with that there were still 12 deaths with only 4 in the lower and the rest in the u.p. In looking at the sledview camera north of Gayord the trail is still covered with snow... #gaylord #snowphotos
