LAKE GOGEBIC AREA UPDATE via Gogebic Area Grooming – 2/23 The best trails of the year are being set at this moment.. We’re on the downside of the Season. Come play while you can!!!!! <> It’s going to take a couple trips out to get the trails in shape again. We shut down last night to keep our operators safe. Grooming trails would have been fine, but getting the operators to the Groomer Barn and back home safely, was the concern. Enjoy the powder and drifts. You soar 80 feet above the river on a dedicated section for motorized vehicles to use, how awesome is that?! It's one of the tightest groomer sections we have that provides very little margin for error. It's also a great view of Lake Superior, the Trapp hills to the south, and really lets you know how pro-snowmobile Ontonagon is. It's a tremendous destination full of amazing eateries like Up north cafe (best pancakes on planet earth), Syl's Restaurant, GiGi's Coffee and Sandwiches, Connie's Coffee and Subs, and of course the famous Roxey's Bar and Grill! Such a busy week it's been. From keeping up with trail's and making sure both machine's are on the trail! We've had our hands full.
Temp's on Saturday got into the upper 20's and heavy traffic really took a toll throughout our system. We've been able to get everything back in shape, but some will take a couple passes to get back to Great Again!!
Trail's covered tonight 102, 13n, 8e and 8w.
Will we make it to March 31st this season? It looks promising..

Trail Condition: Good To Excellent

There are logging operations happening about two miles west of Kenton, use caution.
We are grooming our regular schedule, every day.
The trails are great.
Please ride on the RIGHT side of the trail and STOP at the stop signs!
Stay on the trail, if you don’t we could lose trail permissions on private property.
Groomers have the right of way on the trails, pull over and stop to let them safely pass!
We have Groomer Tracker installed in our groomers.
We groom every day that the weather conditions and equipment allow. Unforeseen circumstances may prevent us from going out, like a major blizzard and being snowed in at our homes or equipment breakdowns. #westernup

Temp's remain cold with light snow seems like daily. Our operator that went up 102 last night had reported very poor visibility but once you get up in the hills, that's pretty much been a common theme this season.
Trail's covered last night/this morning. 102, 8w, 8e and 13s. Trail's are in good to great shape! Get out and Enjoy...
