KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 03/04 There still isn’t any snow in the forecast for the upcoming weekend, but the forecasted temps are a bit lower than they were originally forecasting. Sunday is forecasted to be 40 degrees and then continue in the 40s next week until about Thursday. Jeff Hall and crew were able to make two trips to Michigan’s Keweenaw Peninsula this year. The first trip was right after our big February dumping of snow and you couldn’t have asked for better conditions then! It appears that they enjoyed their ride yesterday just as much though! Jeff shared these photos snd said, “Great day again in the Keweenaw! Unloaded at Vansville Bar and rode to Eagle River, Eagle Harbor, and Copper Harbor-trails were perfection! Second trip this year to the Keweenaw was excellent as always! Trail109 was a little moguled up last night from the weekend traffic, so I cut her deep. Hopefully it'll hold up until I can hit it again Tuesday. I woke up to another 4 inches this morning and itsxstill snowing.

We've been busy setting up everything for tomorrow's Backcountry Village big event. Gates will open around 9am, ride out at 2pm, and the the freestyle show at 4pm. Come visit the Western UP Trail Reports booth just to the left of the stage.
