KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports – 02/08 Literally the Lake Effect Snow making machine switch is stuck in the “on” position….. I’m not sure it’s ever going to stop! I’m not going to lie, it has been cold riding BUT so worth it with all the fresh snow! Thank goodness indoor dining has been resumed! It looks like we have the entire week of bitterly cold temps ahead also, but come next week they will be more tolerable. The Keweenaw has been significantly “warmer” than a lot of other areas in the U.P. and northern Wisconsin. I included a photo from US National Weather Service Marquette Michigan
of the overnight temps also.

Trail109 was a little moguled up last night from the weekend traffic, so I cut her deep. Hopefully it'll hold up until I can hit it again Tuesday. I woke up to another 4 inches this morning and itsxstill snowing.

We've been busy setting up everything for tomorrow's Backcountry Village big event. Gates will open around 9am, ride out at 2pm, and the the freestyle show at 4pm. Come visit the Western UP Trail Reports booth just to the left of the stage.
