KEWEENAW PENINSULA UPDATE via Keweenaw Trail Reports >> 03/14 🤔Where do you plan to ride after this next Sunday/Monday storm arrives?! 💨❄ 😳 We received another 12+ inches of snow yesterday for a total of 35 over the last 6 days! A season total of 325 inches- already topping last years entire season total! 👏 ⚠ If you are trying to arrive prior to the storm, hopefully you are on your way, as conditions do not appear to be safe to travel on Sunday and Monday! Forecasters are saying this storm has the potential to be record breaking! 🥇 No matter how much we actually receive, conditions are going to be epic……. AFTER clubs have the opportunity to get out and groom the trails! Remember, during blizzard like conditions, the operators safety is always considered first! A quick hitting, strong clipper continues to bring widespread moderate to heavy snow and high winds to the area this morning. After a brief lull in snow around daybreak, an increase in northerly winds and lake effect snow will return hazardous conditions to the north winds snowbelts this early afternoon.
Our attention then turns to a major winter storm set to impact the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes region this weekend into early next week. Confidence is continuing to grow regarding significant snowfall accumulations (potentially record breaking) and blizzard conditions that may result in widespread impacts.
