MUNISING AREA UPDATE via Munising Motor Sports >> 03/30 **Weather Update 3/30/25 Sunday** Yesterday was rain and ice most of the day! Today is wet snow/wintery mix and we’ve probably got about 3″ inches on the ground although, hard to tell because it packs right down. It is snowing really good right now (see videos in the comments). Ice storm warning us in effect until 8pm tonight. Trail 8 is pictured off of H15. If you made it up for the weekend, hopefully you’re riding today! Had to give him a wave as he passed me and he honked back! We are under a Winter Storm Watch from Friday into Sunday! Right now, light freezing rain potential is mostly confined to central Upper Michigan Monday afternoon and evening. We'll also see temperatures climb above normal. Saw multiple groomers and no complaints about the trails. Smooth as glass Sunday morning. My hat is off to you folks for keeping the many miles of trails in the shape you do. MUNISING AREA UPDATE via TNT Trenary Northern Trails >> Last night was a fun night with a little training, some drifting, and a murder burger from the Throttle in Little Lake! Lots of drifting on the east end last night and this morning. Good results grooming the entire length of the trail. Groomer will be out on the trail soon to clean up the drifts and make another run! General maintenance today went well with some of our operators getting involved and one of our new operators took the pole saw for a workout along Finn Spur, where the height of the snow and the tractor was putting us up in the canopy of the trees. It’s the little things that help out in the biggest ways. You don’t even have to be an operator to contribute! In addition, slick roadways are possible in the wake of a round of patchy freezing drizzle this past night. This may lead to hazardous travel for the morning commute. The county workers has been doing a great job keeping up with roads, so we are doing what we can to get the trail crossings smoothed out.
