Baldwin Area Trail Report – 12/12
BALDWIN AREA UPDATE via Trailriders Snowmobile Club – 12/12 12/12 update. We have 3 groomers rolling today. We just received our JD 195R back from some track repairs so that will be out running the middle section (trail 3 and 320) from Baldwin south to northern Newaygo county near 8mile. The JD 6150 will be panning the north sections and the rail trail from baldwin to Reed City. The case 140 is panning now from the Newaygo sports park up north to the woodland park area. Please use caution as we will be grooming during the day today with the frigid temps. They covered trails 3, 320, and 324 frim Baldwin South to 8 mile near Woodland Park. There were quite a few leaners and decent size trees across the trail we were able to clean up. There is still a good base on most sections that will make a good hard ice base when it cools down and we get some snow. There were quite a few ruts from trucks and atvs that will need filling when we get some snow. If forecasters are right, we may be out grooming tomorrow night! Reminder, we will be opening, brushing and signing trail 19 from trail 320 west towards Hart January 1st. We are looking for more help to open gates and clear trees ahead of the grooming tractor that will be coming right behind. With the snow coming, we will likely be using snowmobiles and pulling a sled with sign posts, saws, augers and gear. Please reach out if you are available to help. #baldwinarea #snowphotos
