About 10 inches of fresh, wet, very heavy snow on the ground. This is the first significant snowfall we’ve had since our trail system opened on Dec 1st.
So far, groomers have not been able to get out, so nothing is really packed yet, but it is the first rideable snow we’ve seen. Currently in the low 20’s with very high winds which is causing lots of drifting. Will try to update as best as possible, but our satellite internet is very spotty with the high winds and heavy snow.

Winter has arrived!!!! Variable amounts of snow from about 4" in the Watersmeet area—11.5" here on the far western end, to various amounts in the higher country by Lake Gogebic. Area groomers will let us know when they can get out and start grooming. Chances of snow in the forecast for this weekend with light accumulation expected.
Trails are open and ready, just waiting for snow. Be patient just a tad longer… We’ll keep you updated.
