HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club >> 01/02
We had all three groomers out last night and overall the trails are in good shape. Everything was groomed other than 705, Moose Jaw Rd and 711 the Spur to Hathaway Rd.
⚠🪵 Active logging operation on Trail 71 from Brutus road to the Alanson Trail intersection.
⚠🛑 Upcoming trail closure: Trail 7 (the railroad grade) will be closed from Trails End Road to Cadillac St in Mackinaw City starting Monday 1/5 for 3-5 days while soil testing is conducted. We will update everyone once that section re-opens.

WEATHER UPDATE via US National Weather Service Gaylord Michigan >> Times of rain, snow and a rain/snow mix will be seen today for most of northern MI today. Up to 2 inches of wet, slushy snow is possible for parts of eastern upper by this evening. Some spots could see brief freezing rain, however temperatures will rise to above freezing today for most areas. A snow-rain mix is expected on Tuesday, with a light slushy accumulation possible in the morning in eastern upper Michigan. Temperatures will be falling late Tuesday night through the day Wednesday, with brisk northerly winds, along with snow showers and light accumulations. PETOSKEY AREA UPDATE via Petoskey Snowmobile and ORV Club >> Trail report 1-11-2026, we had both groomers out tonight. The trails held up pretty well, with the fresh snow we are back in business. HARBOR SPRINGS AREA UPDATE via Harbor Springs Snowmobile Club >> The snow didn’t disappoint yesterday! We gained back all the snow we lost in the warm up earlier this week plus some!
We had two groomers out last night, the railroad grade (trail 7) was groomed from Van road to Alanson, and all the trails on the East side of the Harbor Barn (717, 71, & 711) were all groomed.
Overall everything is in good shape, the trails were a bit icy yesterday but the added snow should help cover that up. There were a few open water holes behind the Pellston airport last night, temperatures are currently around 19 degrees so hoping those freeze back up quickly.
It’s a great day to get out and ride, stop by one of our sponsors for some lunch or dinner.
