Lake Gogebic Trail Report – Walley Lodge – 01/18

We had received approx. 4-inches of new snow over the last couple of days, and today the snow has been coming down for most of the day and the next 10 days are expected to bring snow almost every day.

Temps for the most part are very cold, with a slight daytime warm up into the high 20’s for the next couple of days followed by some pretty cold temps on Sunday (pack your long johns) (expect a high of -3 on Monday). Groomers will most likely be heading out on Friday, conditions allowing. We’ve seen sledders out on the ice as well as on the trails. Check out our web came for minute by minute updates and we will get our snow meter set up for you! Look forward to seeing you soon!

FYI – the Bergland Mobil has closed, so plan your fueling accordingly.

Lake Gogebic Trail Report – Walley Lodge – 01/17

It is snowing outside – and enough for us to have to actually plow! We received about 1-2″ last night and approx 2″ is expected today. We know we need more than that and according to NOAA and John Dee, we are looking to get 14″ by Saturday. It’s looking promising…..but seeing is believing.

If you have an inkling that you may want to come up – then i’d go ahead and make a reservation. We are being gracious in extending cancellations at this time. Will update you later as to how much snow we actually receive. Check out our web cam for a view of the lake!
