WATERSMEET – WESTERN U.P. UPDATE via U.P. Thunder Riders Snowmobile Club >> 12/30
UPDATED 12/30/25- Groomers were finally able to get out today and groom our entire system and clear all big obstacles that were on or blocking the trails. Both groomers were out 9 to 10 hours to get through everything but still expect some mirror wackers as it will take a while to get all them. We got anywhere from probably 12 to 20 inches of snow so it is going to take a few days before the trails are really going to set up. We will be on a more consistent grooming schedule moving forward as long as weather cooperates and groomer drivers are available. Big thanks to some of the snowmobilers that stopped and help us clear some of the big trees and if you see something on the trails please try to pick it up to help our drivers out. Remember Ride Right and Ride Safe.

ONTONAGON AREA UPDATE via Hamilton's North Coast Adventures >> Riding across the Ontonagon River bridge on trail 12 is a sight to behold! You soar 80 feet above the river on a dedicated section for motorized vehicles to use, how awesome is that?! It's one of the tightest groomer sections we have that provides very little margin for error. It's also a great view of Lake Superior, the Trapp hills to the south, and really lets you know how pro-snowmobile Ontonagon is. It's a tremendous destination full of amazing eateries like Up north cafe (best pancakes on planet earth), Syl's Restaurant, GiGi's Coffee and Sandwiches, Connie's Coffee and Subs, and of course the famous Roxey's Bar and Grill! Temp's remain cold with light snow seems like daily. Our operator that went up 102 last night had reported very poor visibility but once you get up in the hills, that's pretty much been a common theme this season.
Trail's covered last night/this morning. 102, 8w, 8e and 13s. Trail's are in good to great shape! Get out and Enjoy...
